Speech sound bite

In 2007, the Freedom First, Olympics Second Coalition (FFOSC) was launched, and plans were laid for the Human Rights Torch Relay (HRTR), which blanketed the United States with its pro-human rights events in April, 2008.

In March 2008, there was a crackdown in Tibet, a land that is occupied by the Chinese Communist Party. Through the events of FFOSC and HRTR, the human rights community responded to the tragedy unfolding in Tibet.
