Duuuude.... Its not about how complex the bass structure is, as long as it gets the ''bass'' of the song at a really good match to all other instruments in the band then there's no worries, even if you play one consecutive note after the other, as long as it fits in the songs, its the perfect bass riff for them.... Plus if you can play bass that well, why are you not on a stage in front of thousands of fans selling thousands of records with your ''asshairs''?

You know you mentioned a British band there (Cradle of Filth) and they not really the best Black Metal band listen to Celtic frost, Satyricon, Immortal, Emperor. Also you don't have to sing about Satan burning churches to be Heavy. Exodus Heavy as Fuck but most of there song are political and Slayer. Also Black metal came from Nwobhm and Thrash you Noob.
