  • @sum182wrestling Everyone has the right to their own opinion I suppose.

  • no offence, but he's not the greatest olympian - hes the greatest swimmer ever though.

  • when phelps wins 10 in london you can s my d

  • @laurentbernier25 Because running multiple events is FAR FAR harder than swimming multiple strokes and distances. The history books tell us that. There has never been a man or woman who has won both the 100m and 400m in the same olympic or world championships. You have to specialise in track and field. So therefore accumulating medals in track and field is far more difficult. This isnt an opinion it's a fact.

  • I didn't know the "American Dream" had anything to do with Olympic gold medals..

36 gold is embarrassing? we came in #2 in total golds lol. You're a fucking idiot.

US dominated so many olympics it's retarded.

    2004,2000,1996,1992,1984,1968,1964, 1952,1948,1932,1928,1924,1920,1912,1904.

So of the last 25 Summer Olympic Games of the 21st and 20th centuries, 24 of which US participated in, we won 15 of them.

How you like them apples! Where you from anyway? Too embarrassed to say?

  • That is only if you count gold. If you could ALL medals, America won.

  • Well bolt could put extra time and train for the 400, and which will get him the 4x4. If he wants to be like Carl Lewis and add the long jump then that would've been 6 gold medals. In fact, two of the four previous greatest Olympic champions came from track, Paavo Nurmi and Carl Lewis (9 golds each). Mark Spitz was only swimmer with 9 gold medals while the other was Larissa Latynina who was a gymnast. MP's tittle as the Greatest is well deserved, 14 gold medals and maybe more in the future.

  • ne medal when they finish off their Olympic run this week. And as awesome as Usain Bolt runs, the fastest man on the planet will go home to Jamaica with no more than three gold medals, for the 100 and 200 meters and the 400 relay.

Phelps was able to win eight golds in nine days because, yes, he's the greatest Olympic SWIMMER of all time. Not the greatest Olympian! Its astonishes me that anyone could even suggest that!!!

  • It's true - Phelps did quite well. But overall, you have to admit, China ended the "American dream" with an astounding 51 gold medals to America's embarrassing 36. This was China's Olympics in every way. Contrary to the cheery song which accompanied this video, all Americans should drag their feet and look at the ground in shame. Truly, China is the new sports superpower. The future belongs to China.

  • lol funny can you do any of the shit you just listed lol. Calling im th greatest olympian to me is overrated, calling him one of the best swimmers is where he should stay at
