i just bought this controller,installed the automap and turn on the controller..then on the lcd it said "NEED MIDI OS" how do i fix this?

@mocharizma It means the hardware needs an operating system upgrade I'd have thought. The OS upgrade should be easy to do and normally happens automatically with the Automap software GUI. If it shows that on the LCD screen then you should have instructions in the software telling you that the hardware is about to be updated and not to disconnect... then you just turn it on and off and it's normally good to go! If not, give Novation a shout...

I think someone has already asked for this, but it would be really great if you made a tutorial on how you hooked it all up with Ableton/Looper - maybe a few techniques/tips. There are a million ways to configure controllers with specific programs (we can find that info from the manuals) but not enough good advice on starting points for "noobs" like me!

Basically, I've mapped the SL to various controls on some Looper devices that I'm using the loop the bass and organ sounds being played, then other controls are mapped to the mixer (as default) and also some buttons mapped to 'dummy clips', which are what you can use to create automatic effects progressions.....

How do select and arm instruments without using the mouse? If I load Live instruments into tracks, I wonder how you are arming them to play and also how you could layer instruments?

Isn't it hard to peform on the Notivation when there there is delay between hitting the keys, and hearing the sound afterwards? Something with ableton's buffer size I think.
