4GiB is the max on this laptop because it's a 32-bit processor, so it cannot address more than this.

the reason why it showing only 3.3gigs ram is coz u have windows 32 bit platform version installed which limits the memory up to 3.3 gigs of ram only its not coz the computer uses the other memory is used for other purposes. if u have 64 bit platform of windows installed it will utilise the whole 4 gigs and it will show in properties 4 gigs.
