i absolutely love the concept, what's up with this at the moment, i herd the public beta was taken down due to legal issues, WHY? can't you just get loads of people to say they want multi-player x-com and get the backing of the guys that make it? yes, i know it's "old" by gameing standereds but 85% of good games are, company's that make good games should stop getting disbanded!

There is single player x-com side. The reason theres no sp aliens side is because AIs are not something that just anyone can program, and an AI for X-COM side will be very complex.
Nevertheless they continue to iron out balance issues in multi-player, and you can play aliens sp, you just don't have any opponent.
