Saw Aida on Broadway w/ Braxton back in 2003.

@musikclassher0 probably because of her tone quality... or vaoice quality.. she has a whispery texture and usually people with airy textures don't hold her their notes out a ridiculously long time... THINk.. What would an airy run sound like?... LOL..

I saw this live!! Toni is just as wonderful as she has always been!

@musikclassher0 beginning jitters...

You better sang, toni! SANG!

@carem1985 I was there to hear her do this live. She made me cry! It was amazing! The only problem I had was her voice so low, the sound engineers didn't mix her mic as well as they could. Regardless, her voice soared throughout the theatre.

She can sing down to G2 and up to C6 (as far as we know), but her natural tone is lower than Heather's, even though they can both sing low. They have two different voices. I also heard that originally, the role of Aida was supposed to be sung by a deep Contralto like Toni, but since they are so rare, the role is usually sung by Mezzo-Sopranos.
