Advent 4211 / MSI Wind - Game Unreal Tournament 2003

This video is of my Advent 4211 (no upgrades) playing Unreal Tournament 2003 with all video settings set to High, with 16 bots and @ a game speed of 150.

My 4211 is totally unmodified (as in the description on all my vids). I have high hopes for Fifa but not too much for Red Alert 3. I'll aim to have the videos on by the end of next week. I'll also have a look through my old discs and see what games I have tucked away.

Do you think it could run quake 3?

Also u say u had probs with championship/ football manager, does that mean it doesnt run at all? or does it run, just hard to scroll around?

No it runs Championship Manager very Well (apart from the scrolling down) it does run Quake 3 on full settings (one of my favorite games)

Wow thanks! Quake 3 is one of my fave games too and i love football manager, could you do me a favour, as i am getting this for xmas, what games do you know are compatible with it, that you play?

We seem to have a similar taste so could u do me a favour, and pm me the list of games you have played on it, for me to either play if i have them or get them if i dont. I would be very grateful if you could

PS doesnt have to be an essay just a few games youve played on it

MS Combat Flight Sim 2

I am currently awaiting Red Alert 3 & Fifa 08 to be delivered so ill be posting videos of these sometime next week. My general rule with games on this laptop is anything that uses Direct X7 as a minimum should run fine!

usb external dvd drive, or if u have the game iso u can 'mount' it with virtual clonedrive

if can get hold of the msi wind bios you can overclock that netbook by 24% there is an option in the bios.

16 to 2.0ghz

you can boost it if you upgrade the BIOS to MSI v1.09, but in doing so (seemsing as theres no Advent version yet, you will make your PC think its MSI not advent, small risk for a graphics memory update from 64mb to 128mb

Can't you just use an external CD/DVD Drive?

Theres too ways to install games:

1, copy all the files from the cd/dvd to a memory stickm, sd card or Ipod on another pc.

2, copy the files over across a network (my prefered choice)

once installed you need to install a fixed exe file to stop the game looking for the original disc.

Yea it can also run many of my old fav pc games such as return to castle wolfenstein c&c and loads more.
