@Buttercup1999ca - Does the bow slide across the strings without sounding? Could be you did not rosin enough. A new rosin has as smooth surface that is next to impossible to get through. Just work real hard at rosining for about 10-15 minutes the first time.
Also, did you put in the battery? Did you switch on the power switch next to the battery?
Did you plug in the headset in the right output?

usually violins have bows which could be played starting right from the end(where you hold it)...but in mine the sound only comes out from the middle of bow...is there something wrong with my bow?i got it recently and its brand new...

@boskonovitchgal - Probably you need to apply more rosin on the ends. It's not uncommon to apply rosin mostly in the middle of the bow. Apply rosin in abundance for about 5 minutes around the frog and tip, the only bad thing that can happen is a lot of excess rosin dust over your fingerboard and violin to wipe off in the beginning.
