It is not uncommon for fanatics to make someone's career bigger in death than it ever was in life (if I can paraphrase a Kennedy). In this case, Natalie contributed by her delusional bashing. Lyrics in "Lubbock or Leave it" say maybe they will erect a statue to her like they did Buddy Holly. Later, she goes on record to describe the song as being about "any hypocritical town". The WTF factor is off the charts here. Guess why her father moved out of Lubbock!

I agree with Maines about Bush being a dumb fuck, but not because of what he said about them. To be honest, he did make a valid point. Like it or not, freedom of speech and expression IS a two way street! Of course the Fox News assholes were going to foam at the mouth over what the Dixie Chicks said, along with all the other right-wing dumb fucks America is so full of.
