im trying to stencil tshirt for the first time
if i have my own designs, does it matter what the stencils made of?(cardboard, paper, etc.)whats the best around the house-items?

depends on what youre gonna use it for, since its for a teeshirt, and im assuming you mean one print, then paper will be fine, but if you wanna mass produce a design, better got with laminated paper or even a laminated manila folder with the design attached to it (itll be harder to cut but extra stronger than paper)
