This is my cover to Estranged by Guns N' Roses, off the "Use Your Illusion II" album (1991).
Btw, I put lyrics as subtitles to this video, you can turn them On or Off by using the button on the lower right corner of the video.
Ive known this song for a while already, but it really grew on me while preparing this cover... its now my favourite GnR song.
I know you cant do it exactly note for note, cuz there are parts that cant be heard, especially Izzy's playing, etc... but I tried really hard to make a note for note cover of the guitar work that shows up in the original song, same number of guitars and same position.
There are 3 guitars in the song:
Izzy on the left channel of the audio playing rhythm, Slash on the right channel of the audio playing rhythm, and again Slash on the center of the audio playing lead (main leading, solos, licks).
About the backing track, I made it myself since I couldnt find a decent one on the internet.
This backing track contains drums, bass and piano. I used several vst plug-in's to make it: EZDrummer, Steinberg The Grand 2, and Steinberg Virtual Bassist. You may find this backing track and the tab written by me for this song in my website.
This cover took me a long time, you cant imagine how much time and effort I invested to get this 9 minute video. I hope you like it ;)
And, I dont know why Youtube shows the audio in this video a little delayed, just a pinch, maybe 2 or 3 frames, it really bothers me cuz I struggle so much to get my videos perfectly synched. I had the same problem with my last uploading (Virtual Guns - Dont Cry, which I uploaded 3 times cuz I couldnt believe Youtube has this problem now, whats gonna be next? when are they gonna fix this bug? geez...).
Maybe you dont even notice, but I want to say, Im sorry about that. Youtube is FUBAR.

la distancia entre tus cuerdas y las pastillas tiene mucha más importancia de lo que la mayoría de los guitarristas cree.
No existe una distancia exacta a la cual se pueden poner las pastillas. Todo depende del guitarrista. Entre más cerca estén de las cuerdas, el sonido será, en pocas palabras, más agudo y saturado. Entre más lejos estén, el sonido será más grave y suave.

Consigue un desarmador e intenta poner tus pastillas de manera que el tornillo de la cuerda más gruesa esté a unos 6 milimetros de distancie de la misma. Y que el tornillo de la cuerda más delgada esté a unos 7 u 8 mm. (generalmente se pone la pastilla un poco más lejos de las cuerdas delgadas para balancear los agudos).
Puedes comenzar con eso, y si no te gusta, la bajas o la subes un poco. Esto, como muchos otros tópicos sobre la guitarra, solo se puede lograr con prueba y error.
