Oh my goodness, when you talked about the brain farts, I know EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN.
After living overseas, it's harder for me to recall American sayings sometimes. And while I speak fluent Spanish, my English has suffered slightly.
I used to be the one who family and friends came to asking: "how would you say this, you're good with words," ... but now my brother makes fun of me because I'm not as quick as I used to be.
Also, how long have you been speaking French? Are you fluent?
