The Flame

I was 'tagged' and this is the result of something already in the works. Kara In-Ze aka Supergirl has long been in the shadow of Superman's legacy. A legacy forged not only by his heroics, but by his actions against Earth under Darkseid's manipulations.

Many grew to fear Superman and later by extension, the Justice League. Cadmus was formed to deal with this 'threat.' Superman's former ally Emil Hamilton joined them after Superman went rogue during Legacy.

They eventually made a clone of Supergirl as a countermeasure to another going rogue incident. Kara begins having nightmares, which were in fact memories of her clone, her double.

There are always consequences to everything, but then there is also the knowledge that even superheroes make mistakes. Unfortunately a superhero mistake has more drastic repercussions as Supergirl learns during her battle with Galatea, her Cadmus counterpart.

Eventually she will come into her own and realize that she isn't like the others. Especially after being brought forward to the distant future where the Legion of Superheroes needs her help.

Its there that she meets Brainiac 5 and he finds himself caring about her, enough perhaps to love. This is her future, with him, with this world.

So it will fall to John and Oliver to deliver the news. Not exactly a position to be in especially given her new guy's family history. However for all their mistakes, heroes like anyone else still have lives to lead and things to be do now.

@Snowpaya OOpps! It was in the Crisis On Infinite Earths series where she died. It looks like DC Comics could be bringing them back as a couple again. In Supergirl #52 in April! Us/their fans are dearly hoping they are going to be together again after over 20+ years apart!

Anyone interested in helping make Supergirl and Brainiac 5 a couple in the DC Comics Universe! They use to be a couple until her death in the Infinite Crisis storyline. (Outside of JLU: Far From Home episode.) They have been separated ever since that time. Even now in the DC comics world you can see their personalities would fit like two puzzle pieces made for each other.
