@hep2jive Not so. My '59 spent ten years sitting in the middle of the desert. I haven't had to touch any single part of it throughout the restoration except for the vent levers. The rest of the Car is built just as solidly as the instruments. It just needs what any other car that went through that would need... (Paint, chrome, and more seals)
ew! that Cadillac dash is terrible. the way the speedometer is in there looks so cheap. i guess they spent all the time with the fins...which are wonderful. though they say the late 1950s cars are pretty poorly made.
I always loved the power window switch placement on the 59 and 60 GM cars, but I never have seen that other control below the switches on the driver's side.
The Big C is beautiful too, it's nice to see the plastic bits the way they were and not all crinkled up like almost every one I've seen!.
Are you using a camera slider for these? Very smooth work
@hep2jive Well, the dash core was dried out too, but that was it.

People don't realize the amount of art and design that goes into those dashboards. And then they have to function. too. Thanks

Excellent choice of music, nice shooting. That's amazing design and manufacturing work.
