In the Book of John, 8:44 it says that Satan is the father of all lies. But I think the Bible itself points to another liar who came first.

  • Death didn't exist before they ate the fruit.

They would have never died had they not eaten it, that's the point of the story.

  • @sWeepingsAnd Right. Death had never occurred. So how were they to know what it meant? What threat was there in saying something would happen that never had, and of which they knew nothing? THINK!

Thanks. Google is a good start. The internet has really helped the spread of information.

"All have..." Those lines are part of the story in the Bible, I agree.

What I am looking for is a way to discern one type of writing from another. The Bible is such an important work, I want to know which parts are literal and which are "allegory", "poetry", etc. peace

i would suggest googling your answer

All have inherited sin from Adam

All have an opportunity to repent and seek holiness.

  • @shaunrwilliams Bones of earliest humans show a growth and lifespan of maybe 25 years. There was no time when humans or any other animals lived hundreds of years, Read a book other than your magic one, and maybe you will learn something. Trees still can live thousands of years, but animals never did.

  • "Christians" (I don't believe there is such a thing), have all sorts of excuses for this. For those who see it is allegory, or anything but literal, I would ask why did Jesus have to die if there was no "original sin".

    I enjoy your videos, thanks.

    Please stay on topic.

Isn't it easy to think after the curse to a perfect world that man could live longer than current life expectancy?
