Pure Camp Fun! Not meant to be serious. She made it because it couldn't hurt her. She knew she could be both a singing Broadway legend and still laugh at herself. This makes me smile BIG :-D

@3dartistguy At least there's a Renee Fleming rock album...

If they make Gypsy into a movie, I think a late 70s disco setting would be most interesting. Imagine the strobe lighting during Rose's Turn!

I give it 5 stars! Why not? Great idea! Her voice still sounded the same till her last days! Excellent!!

Man, Lt. Herwitz must have really suffered during the war. It really is hell.

We only need tp keep one recording of this as a warning from history.

Hi. Before we start lighting torches and chasing after the divine Ethel Merman with pitchforks; we should look at her motive. She wanted to introduce a new generation of Disco folks to her music, that is all, I feel. Somewhere about Youtube is a like-minded Kate Smith performing with Cher and Tina Turner(!) Performing “GROOVY” renditions of Beatles melodies. The crux is Ethel, like Kate wanted to modernize and introduce their music to a newer generation, that’s all. No harm, no foul. Peace. Bear
this is so wrong.
