I just picked up an Abu Garcia 7ft Medium Action Vendetta Rod paired up with a Abu Garcia Revo SX casting reel, 6:4:1 gear ratio.. GREAT combo.
Shot and Edited on my iPhone 4 with iMovie. [WATCH in HD!!]

The aluminum nut on that rod will chip paint off your reel foot. Hopefully it has not happened to you.

I've been looking at this as my next purchse and step into baitcaster. I own boat but prefer shoreline walking. bass,pike,tigers,cats,carp.. basically everything fresh water. any recomendations. I have cardinal spinning rods, and my son has the IKE dude combo. Really interested in a baitcaster, used them back in the 90's 2 or 3 times. didn't have any problems with ability to use, or functioning. cast like a dream. But any advantage over spinning? thanks ppl in the northeast see u on the water!

i hate abu garcia always had problems with those reels always have the same problem...... noisy, rough and dont last what so ever.

hey does anyone know how the colors work. because i was at Dicks Sporting Goods and they had another one in just a black coloration. are those the older ones and the red ones are a newer version or is there just different colorations

@goatkiller68 - YUP. The black one is the last years model. The Black and Red is the newest Revo SX.

@Bakkefication - I use either 10lb P-LINE CXX in Moss Green or Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon 12lb. But it also depends on what lures your going to be throwing..
