@KaeruthePaladin i think its more to it than that, mike grew up as a bullied child so naturally he became paranoid as we have seen many times in his career, he couldnt overcome this childlike mentality because he was thrown into boxing from the age of 13, its like he was in a time chamber where only his body grew but mind stayed the same, once he retired i feel like his whole life came crashing into him at once and he thought its time to grow up

They're taking his words out of context to make it seem like he doesn't give a shit about his daughter, but he's so fucking RIGHT when he says "we have to keep on living, being alive is for the living, and being dead is for the dying."
What he means is, if you keep living in the past, you'll NEVER have a fucking PRESENT! And presents are usually the best.

Yeah I don't trust the media at all, you hear about some guy attacking cops getting 10 years he may have very well been fighting for his life against dirty cops.
I don't think Mike's rage was a bad thing, Agressiveness comes natural to most Men.
It is that Agressiveness without discipline and morales that go into the making of a a bad person.
Mike had the latter to control His rage, hence he is known as Iron Mike, not Mike the Gangbanger.
