As much as I love Boca Burgers I often fInd myself longing for a more holistic veggie burger. Though the store bought veggie patties are WAY more convenient than a patty made from scratch, it can feel good to know just what ingredients are being put in your food, and that you can tweak the taste of the patty to you and your family's liking. Enjoy this beautiful autumn season!

  • This looks really good but all those vegitarian ingredients must be expensive. Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy a large pack of Bocca?

  • @audiotrax2000 I still like Boca a lot, it is faster because you don't have to do all that mixing, but for big families that are going the economic route, you can get more bang for your buck with this recipe because it's oatmeal based. But for a family of one or two, this could be cheaper. it just depends.

  • OK I made these the other night. I have to say I loved them most because they were not difficult to make and very economical if you have a large family.. Anyways, these sauted up in the pan like real pan seared burgers. Nice beautiful crisp.Luv it

  • @TheCouponWifey Wonderful! Yes, I like the fact that it's so bulky you can freeze them for another time.

  • @codybear4you Flax meal can be used in a recipe to make pretty good raw pancakes believe it or not!

  • @Yahcna Thanks for a quick reply! How else would you use Flax meal?

  • @codybear4you Hmm.. not sure, because I use flax meal more as an egg replacer than a base flour. I wouldn't try it because flax has this kind of slippery texture to it, especially when moistened, so I would steer clear and maybe try buckwheat, spelt, chickpea, or amaranth flour.

  • how would it turn out if you used Flaxseed meal?

  • No doubt...My pleasure! Thank U 4 being U & doin' what U do...U make it look so good!!!

  • @Yahcna I just checked out your website! I'm looking forward to your delivery service abroad. I'm always on the lookout for a good vegan cupcake! Have you talked to your local Whole foods about carrying your brand of pastries? I've seen them show their locals love and can lead to big things. Hoping to taste the yummymummy brand soon!
