This VTTC was built for a contest on who can build the smallest VTTC. A 6BQ6GTB tube was used as the oscillator. I also design a switch mode power supply for the filament power. This helps reduced the footprint size.

The old video of this coil in action was removed due to poor performance and bad video quality. New primery and secondary coils help with the better performance as seen in this video.

Dimentions:
Length 8cm
Width 4.6cm
Hight 14.5cm

  • could the circuit be adapted for use with out the tube cause that is awsome

  • What is the resonant frequency of this little thing? I imagine the secondary winding is not as long as other coils, so perhaps a lower frequency? It sounds like a low 40Hz note in the video.

  • Nice! Please give me the circuit because I want to build it!

  • what is the awg of primary coil

  • I find this verry cool because it is so small and it haves for such a tube manny power!!! :D

  • please can you give me a schematic because i want to build it. very nice

  • Vary nice dude!

  • Congrats. Great work.
