Please make sure to start on my video that I created on two congas for beginners before starting here.
This is the best way I can break it down for all you beginners to learn how to play Guaguanco on three congas. You'll find my teaching style quite unique to other people's way of teaching and this is because of the way I break down all the little parts to make it simple for you to understand what I'm presenting. Once you're comfortable playing the basic pattern, move on the more advanced pattern with all the notes that are slaps being played.
Good luck in your studies and let me know of your progress. Responses will be limited since I go back to school on 9/2/08.

Rudy, I'm a beginner at congas. I have to reverse everything you do (L, R hand positions) in order to do it well. I'm assuming you're left handed....or is it just something I've developed from being a drummer for 45 years? Excellent lessons BTW
