Personally, i don't understand the need to consume eggs period. Homegrown or factory farm. But i guess if you simply MUST have eggs, you def don't want them frim a FF.

I think if people realized eggs, organic or other, are nothing more than "chicken periods" and what's inside that shell is a life support system of saturated fat and cholesterol to support life and bring a baby chick into this world. Leave an open egg at room temp for a few hours and it will go hard, same thing happens in veins.

Animals or their by-products are not healthy food choices for humans.

Go Veg - it's a no brainer. ;o)

Supply and demand. Stop buying them and they will stop producing them you say? The sad truth is we are so over populated going on 7 billion people in the world that we must do this to keep from having many humans die. It’s a much bigger problem than just choosing not to buy. People in other places have no choice; it’s eat these products or die. Shame on you... Shame on me. Its a reason to raise your own chickens.

@UrbanEggLayer You do realize that all these so called food & food by-product animals are fed the very grains that humans here & abroad could be consuming. This planet would have no problem sustaining whatever population, as long as it was a whole grain plant based society. Once you start raising animals for their flesh, U create nothing but waste & especially environmental toxins which pollute water, air & future agriculture. Humans should never eat flesh - we are also flesh.

This is why we raise our own. Three chickens share a coop that measures eight by sixteen. No, not inches, FEET! That's 42 square feet per happy healthy hen. Consider raising your own layer. You won't save money on eggs but how much is peace of mind worth to you?

@dmt1968123 I suggest you show just one "happy" chicken production farm video. This is reality & the only so called agenda is sharing the truth. I've received more than enough comments telling me this is exactly what it's like & from those that have worked in this situation. Eggs are unfertilized embryos - chicken periods to be exact. They are a full life support for an unborn chick - so when you eat it, you are receiving what a baby chick should. Cholesterol/hormones/fat & ???

but there is a difference, between..say the hunter/gatherer lifestyle that we humans used to (and some still do) live, and even early farms, and this sick, industralized factories (i don't call them farms) of death and disease.

If you cant see that, then...well, I guess our conversation ends here.

Look i understand why you dont want animals abused. but we have to eat them. these weak arguments are dumb. one way or another your killing a living thing to harvest its energy. Just because a plant dosent give you eye contant or look cute, dosent make it any different from everyone else in this planet. Our DNA is 95% similar to a squash.
