It's based off of the Tubescreamer circuit, and there are a lot of overdrive pedals with the same circuit out there. The thing with the Bass BB that makes it a little different is that it retains its lows very well and is in a very compact size. Modded Ibanez Tube Screamers and modded clones like the Badder Bad Monkey should hold a better low end and may be easier for you to find in your area or online.

@bryanrtyler would you know where to find good mod schematics of the TS-9 for bass, or more powerful low end?

@mouldeck I don't know myself- sorry. You can ask over at TalkBass com where a good place to find some would be- lots of guys there would know.

Great vid. One question though:
Does the pedal get noisy at higher gain settings? It doesn't sound like it in the vid but you might have a noise gate or something. I want to use this as a distortion pedal but i'd like to know if it gets noisy. Thanks.

No, it does not. I just tested it with the gain dimed for you, and the added noise was minimal. I'm running the pedal straight into my amp for this vid- no noise gates or anything else in-line.
