i actually just moved out to the bay area from the east coast. i've heard some people saying that HMB is strict to locals only. is this true? not trying to step on any toes, but i really like it there. thanks, and sick video.

Hey thanks for the compliment. My experience has been when the south swell is kicking, the main peak is tough to get on for sure. Overall the vibe is mostly cool I think if you respect the line up.

Ohh ok. Now do people surf here at HMB like is it surfable or mainly just for nice beach spot/tourism? Obviously not bigger than Mavs but just wonderin!

HMB can have some great surf, but depending on the spot, the swell and wind direction play a big factor. Suspect this weekend this spot will be looking nice to catch some waves.
