I think you really need to compare two of the same year to be really accurate. A new Pro with the latest hardware will be much different. And because they both can come with solid state drives, a fair comparison would be two with SD. That could also make a difference in speed. And whether or not you're into gaming, it is the ultimate test. They will also heat up to their mac while gaming. Use a heat meter. Just some thoughts. :)

Yeah, nice of you to be honest about the cache. That can make a MAJOR difference. When I clean out my system, everything is far faster. Boot-up time alone is cut in half. But overall, thank you for this video. I've been considering an air foe a while, and would NEVER get an iPad. Why, when I can have about the same size; but with a cover, and an actual mac computer that runs all my programs? My mother's pad pisses me off when I use it. Nothing works the same or is compatible onscreen.

Not meaning to start a Mac vs PC debate but check out some Ultrabooks, they're new super thin pc laptops. They're thinner, lighter, faster and you can get way more performance for your dollar. Take a look at the ASUS Zenbook specifically.
