aww he is so cute!! i wish i could meet someone in person with spina bifida but so far i havent met anyone with spina bifida. just online. looks like he's doing a very good job so far!! keep up the good work and never give up no matter what people say!

My younger brother was born with spina bifida... Doctors said he would never walk. He's in his early twenties now and walking fine. Not perfect, but almost. Gabriel

Matteus turned 3 at the end of May. At 18 months he struggled quite a bit to walk. Is your son wearing AFOs and twister cables? Or just AFOs?

Thank you for Subscribing. How old is Matteus? My son Gabriel is 18 months and we are working with him almost everyday.

Gabriel was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. The Megalomaniac Pediatic Neurosurgeon said after she had completed the surgery to close his lesion "He will most likely never walk, only possibly with a walker or cane." Well so far he has over come her first proclaimation from on high!!! Although this doctor did a fantastic job on the surgery she has the personality of a fish and we have since decided to use a different physician for his care.
