Tsugaru-Jamisen is a genre of Shamisen, a three stringed Japanese traditional instrument like a Lute.The music has been originated and evolved in region of "Tsugaru" of Aomori prefecture located in the northernmost area of Japan, they have heavy snowfall and in harsh weather conditions for 4 months long winter, "Tsugaru" people were in need of music as an emotional release to have a life in such severe winter season.Now, it is today performed throughout Japan.
