Nice model! Any plans to do any animation with the model? A nice model like this should be animated. How was this model created with such likeness to the puppets?

Hey there, I didn't make this so any questions should be addressed to the creator, Matt, who I believe has an entire portfolio of phenomina work online. I did discuss the possibility of animating it, but this was designed as a static 3d image.

Sure, it looks great here, but the CGI would easily be noticeable if transported into a film.

After the great puppets in the original movies, my heart just couldn't take seeing the Gremlins as animation.

They should just make new creatures and movies, and leave the classics alone.

Thanks guys, this was all Matt's doing and making a still Gremlin is a huge difference between making hundreds of moving gremlins for a feature-length film :) Either way it does look fantastic, I am just sharing the awesomeness with the world!

CGI is great too. Don't you think it is possible that some people can enjoy both? The original ones were good, but that doesn't mean a third one with CGI can't be just as great just because it is different.

I love how it looks like the scary Gremlins from the first film, not the goofy looking ones from the second.

freakin horrifying i love it. gremlins scared the piss outa me 4 a long long time as a kid. i would love to see a third one done as a total rated r horror masterpiece doesnt look like thats gonna happen anytime soon though, sigh

You know what? Even though I woul much prefer the Gremlins for the third installment to be puppets and not CGI, this is an excellent job and if they could make them all look like this(while giving each one their own individual personality) then I would still run to the theater to watch it. Please tell your friend that he did a great job. The Gremlin is beautiful. Well, you know, as much as a little morbid green reptilian hell-bend on creating chaos and anarchy can be.
