I wasn't allowed to play video games from Mondays to Thursdays as a very young boy. I had to read novels instead, which I'm actually very grateful for. Reading has to start very early in life really, otherwise it will never become a regular habit later on in life.

@gamerchronicles If it's all you're doing, then I think that'd be too much. But if you did other things in between, I wouldn't be so concerned.

This part in a nutshell: R0xb0x already said it.

i play games but i cant get made fun of for anything in games and i like talking to other people and getting the joy of completing "Quests" i like exploring the world and getting houses and calling the character "me" and putting myself into the game it just takes all the stress from me and i just looove to get away from the real world and put myself into a game and just relax

@sripathyakasrip Good point. What we spend most of our time doing is what we become good at. Thanks for your comment.

There's a difference between playing a game excessively because you enjoy it, rather than being addicted. I find it funny how people who don't understand the difference, always seem to be the one who (think) are experts at analyzing it or something.

@TokyoNerd What is "excessively"...?

@gamerchronicles excessively = too much. In this case, it's be too many videos games played.

@TokyoNerd I know what the literal meaning of excessively is...but on a behavioral level, how would you determine how much is too much?
