  • I think many times when you get used to one singer it is hard to accept another different singer. Many bands throughout history have done is - some successfully, some not so much (Genesis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Van Halen are a few successful ones). And successful doesn't mean that they didn't loose some fans. Lost some, gained some.

  • Have to admit, Runrig for me is with Donnie.

But, give this Bruce Guthro guy some credit, new influences, an established singer in his own right and WHAT a voice!! WOW...

A prefer donnie for the way his voice sounded through all the songs. Bruce is damned good, but to me .. Donnie Rocks !

  • that's your opinion, but hadn't bruce came on board, Runrig wouldn't keep selling out gigs, have a number 1 album, and top 10 single :)

  • One usually does not expect such a cosmopolitan song from the Scots.

  • @AbzWayne so true so absolutely true :) So Runrig Donnie and Bruce gu brath :)

  • Donnie was great is great but Bruce is great and will continue to be great. whoever replaces who the pride u feel as a Scotsman when you hear these songs is overwhelming at times.

  • Don't really like the "Andrews lion"-combo thingy, show them separately!

  • with or without bruce or donnie an awesomoe band either way one of them had something special i love runrig i thank my dad and older brother for there influence to such a great band

  • And even Rory says if it was't for Bruce there would be no Runrig, we should be very thankful that such a talented singer joined them and carries on the legacy.

I love Bruce and Donnie, i grew up with Donnie Runrig, hearing it playing in the car or at home, and i made my own choice to like Bruce as i got older.

  • Runrig were much better with Donnie
