Live action Guyver was pretty weird (at least the first one, haven't seen the second). it's like they were trying to make it like a one-man Power Rangers movie, but at some point said "fuck it" and they threw in a bunch of profanity and gore.
i thought the Speed Racer movie was pretty good, and from what i hear, the Casshern and Yatterman movies were great. iirc, Tatsunoko did help animate NGE, so maybe some of that good fortune well spread to the live action NGE movie

@OurVersions there's already like 5 billion versions of NGE: the anime, the manga, several AU manga that i don't care to list, several visual novels, and the Rebuild. a live action movie will be a drop in the bucket.

the psychoanalysis and all of that was what made it Evangelion dude! thats food for the intellect, it makes you question. Apart from that, Americans should not be allowed to make live actions of anime. its too culturally different.

I have no opinion whether or not it will (if released ever) be good or bad.
It will however continue to, as this guy said, "tarnish the original series"

in order for evagelion film to work 3 things
1 : get i great director either Spielberg James Cameron or Ridly Scott etc
2 : get a fittings actors & make shinji less cry baby
3 : CHANGE THE ENDING & NO FUCKED UP SHITS OR ACID TRIPS

Interesting rant. My brother and I used to joke around that if they were to make a live action EVA, that the director should be the 6th Sense guy for his plot twist endings. Considering EVA's reputation of their endings, this guy would be the right guy for the job. For the LA Guyver, I remember Solid Snake plays him, lol.
