  • I'm old enough..I'm young enough - oh that's another song...

I saw Laura Nyro do Midnight Blue and her ensemble of other work of that time at Constitution Hall in DC. I don't remember her side men, but they all came on stage together, quietly took their positions, said nothing, and began to play. Two hours later they all came to center stage, bowed and quietly left. Every time I hear her music, I'm still in that Hall...Peace my beauty...

  • @namdacsemaj thank you for sharing your memories of Laura - how wonderful to have seen her in concert.

  • I wish I were born 10 years earlier to live her times. Wonderful everything

  • @joseluisfernandez58 Wish I could have seen her live as well - brilliant songwriter.

  • WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LADY...

    THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL...

    THANK YOU MY LOVE!!!

  • @tolgreen

  • I saw her on this tour; it was so elegant, she was and her band was toward her; Boston 1976.

  • Thanks threepancakes for that info. as to the side players on that tour. From time to time I'll give the Smile CD to someone half my age and tell them to put on the headphones turn off the phone and listen. You'll fall in love with her....end of story-

  • @threepancake Wow..thanks for that info

  • @namdacsemaj You are a lucky person

  • Simply Beautiful!

  • @namdacsemaj They were Richard Davis on Bass, John Tropea on guitar, Mike Manieri on vibes, ,Andy Newmark on drums, "Liberty" on congas, Ellen Seeling on trumpet, Jeff King on sax, Jeannie Fineberg on Sax and Carer CC Collins on percussion. Look them up, they were all legends in the industry. As tour manager, I will remember and consider myself lucky to have experienced ALL the concerts on that tour. Don't ya just love it!!
