Eurovision 1983 - Portugal

Armando Gama performng "Esta Balada Que Te Dou" ("This Ballad That I Give You"), the Portuguese entry at the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest.

Like Greece that year, Portugal sent a nice, gentle ballad that was nevertheless lost amid the strong competition and wound up as yet another largely underrated Portuguese entry. Still, a very nice song indeed (even Terry Wogan thought so!)

And a bit of artist info: Armando Gama started out as the keyboard player in the progressive rock band Tantra, playing on their debut album "Mistérios e Maravilhas" as well as singing on the tune "Partir Sempre". (thanks to SundownerDrifting for the info)

música decente, assim como a do ano seguinte. é uma pena que a partir dos anos 90 não se possa dizer o mesmo de nenhuma das canções representantes de portugal. são todas uma bela merda!

I don't quite agree with you on your 90s entries (yes, I understand a bit of Portuguese) - you had some great singers and songs in '91, '93, '94, '96 and (one of my favorite of yours) '98 - and your '92 and '97 entries were also quite good. And even in this decade you've sent some nice songs ('03, '04 or even '07).

Que raio de comentário: quer agora sugerir que houve algum padrão de elegância em todos as interpretações que precederam o Armando Gama e que este não cumpria? Usava colete e camisa azul? Não é bonito? Não levava as calcinhas engomadas?

Explique-se lá, solicito-lho encarecidamente, para que eu entenda a que se refere, porque assim... parece-me coisinha pequenininha e tipicazinha de portuguesinho que põe defeitinho em tudinho.

@comidadehospital não estás bom da cabeça. Sim boas musicas nos anos 80s mas tirando 95 os anos 90s tiveram boas musicas, algumas sofreram injustiças como em 93 e 94 no resultado final mas enfim.

Onde se pode fizer que Portugal se desleixou foi no inicio do século. Musicas em inglês e no meu ponto de vista péssimas.

Felizmente a partir de 2008 voltou o bom gosto e boa musica.

acho que so a tinha ouvido nesse ano, mas de quando em vez la vinha a memoria, passados 28 anos volto a ouvi-la gracas ao yutube e a pessoa que a colocou, muito obrigado . valeu
