forgot to mention to you... you must always remember STATIC limit is WAY different then ACTIVE limit... If the hook is rated at 365LBS STATIC, it's really only save for someone 182lbs OR LESS and I wouldn't go swingin around on that if your close...

again, it was made for a different purpose and the manufacturer says "not for life support" so tread lightly my friends!

I have ridden a street bike at 168MPH, tough myself to cliff dive from a 68 foot drop (well, jumped the half way mark a few times to be honest) and a million other dare devil acts and im still here with all limbs and digits!

@echoman101 if ya want to get technical your wrong. They were developed for the military to trip trip-wires at a safe distance. Not that your idea is not a valid and useful one, as well as the creator of the video, who used it for a purpose that was not intended, just like yours.

They are NOT for life support! BUT, with a STATIC test weight of 365lbs. I risked it...

Now remember.... THAT IS STATIC....! I don't use this as my main hook, but it will work in a pinch.

I get a lot of flack from people who can't think outside the box and cry "That's not what that is used for!"

It's sad that they don't understand resourcefulness or ingenuity. Lots of weapons started out as agricultural tools for example..

Hey man! I'm liking the look of this grappling hook! Mind giving me a quick review of it, seeing as you've not had it for a while, with lots of time for testing? Things it can and can't do? Will the hooks bend if an average weighted person climbed with it? (Not rock climbing or anything)
