This short line freight hauler based in Quincy, Mass on the grounds of the old former General Dynamics Shipyard operates over about 2 miles of mostly jointed rail between the shipyard to Braintree Jtn via the Greenbush Commuter rail line owned by The MBTA. The line serves a Proctor & Gamble plant and the main product in the tank cars can range from tallow, glycerin or other products used to manufacture soap.

  • They usually leave Quincy Shipyard terminal about 11AM M-F , they only have a couple of miles to go and there's 4 grade crossings before they get to the Front St. E. Braintree yard clip #2 ( Greenbush ) mainline where they need to move quick to cross over the MBTA line @ Braintree Jtn, Wye then enter the CSX yard tracks for switching which allow N & S MBTA trains to bypass their work. They usually return about or by 2PM. Some days they have a lot to drop and pick up and other days little.

  • Awesome video, i believe your the first to upload a video of the Fore River Transpor Tation RR/locomotives. I always wanted to catch this train in action but never could catch it at the right time. By the way do you know what time he goes through at?
