  • i was doing shrugs in my gym, i think i went too heavy, and tore something, but i know its my traps... i get pain feelings like its in the back of my rib cage but its my lower trap after watching this video

    please help, is this a serious injury? it hurts sometimes just rolling over in bed, btw i injured it 4 months ago

  • @ry4nx If it hurts just sometimes when you roll over then you likely don't have a serious injury, especially since the pain is 4 months old. The trapezius is a very superficial muscle and while it could be referring pain into the back of the ribcage it might be something a little deeper than your lower trap. Does it hurt to take a deep breath? Have you done any self care to rehabilitate it or are you continuing to lift weights?

  • @backnobber2 yea when i take a deep breath i feel an uncomfortable pinch, mayeb it's a big knot, i hope so

    ive been continuing to lift weights, i know, prolly a dumb idea. i just love lifting weights

  • thank you so much, for about two years now I get back pain and headaches but it's like a nerve-tension type headache.... also the base of my neck hurts and sometimes I feel buring in middle upper back just like you explained
