Jon Pounds executive director of the Chicago Public Art Group explains the origins of the historic Chicago mural "Man's Inhumanity to Man, and Wall of Daydreaming" at the corner of 47th and Calumet streets in Bronzeville. This video interview is part of a larger documentary journalism piece by Northwestern University graduate students Layton Ehmke and Justine Jablonska of the Medill journalism program.

  • Jon Pounds was my art teacher!! very cool guy!! i love the mural. when i was a kid, there was a BEATIFUL mural in Blue Island, Il. but, the gangs kept spray-painting over it. finally, the city got rid of it.
