Cover of Van Der Graaf Generator - Darkness (11/11)

A cover version on piano of this 1970 progressive rock track from the album 'The Least We Can Do Is Wave to Each Other'. This is a cut down version of the original seven minute song, but I have tried to capture as much as possible of the melodies from organ, vocal and saxophone. The chord structure is strong and distinctive which makes it translate well to piano.

I esp. love your answer to P0LSET's (good) question "Why only 2.28" - " Yes I did prune it down, mainly because the original holds your interest by letting vocals, organ and sax take turns at leading. However, when it's all on piano it's more difficult to retain the interest."
