This is a clip from a 1950's TV show called Gang Busters. At the end of the show, they would give you information about a wanted criminal, along with their wanted poster. Some TV stations kept the idea going long after the series ended, and would often use them as part of their public service announcements late at night.

This clip is from an episode titled The O'Dell Griffin Case. It is available on TV Crime & Detective Shows Vol 2 at HoughsVideos.50Megs.Com

  • @VenusInFurs A newsreel from January 1938 about this escape can be viewed on the website of British Pathé. You can find the item by typing 'alcatrez' and 'cole' in the search engine.

  • @Darklordkime ok, i am. you got me.

  • @osothegato your dead silly....... right

  • @og882001 No. Wikipedia says Cole and another dude were both convicted bank robbers and escaped in 1937(!). Both were presumed to have died during their attempted escape.

I guess the FBI wanted to keep their bases covered though, hence this bulletin.

  • I'm DB Cooper. I want to turn myself in.

  • did they catch him?

  • Sean Connery has.

  • well the bulletin was directed towards police officers too, but yeah..haha sentence continuity fail

  • i thought no one's ever escaped from alkatraz?
