Andrea Petkovic geb. am 9. September 1987 in Tuzla, Jugoslawien, heute Bosnien und Herzegowina) ist eine deutsche Profi-Tennisspielerin bosnischer Abstammung. Sie wohnt in Griesheim bei Darmstadt.

Im Laufe ihrer Karriere konnte sie bislang ein WTA-Turnier im Einzel gewinnen, 2009 in Bad Gastein. Außerdem holte sie die Titel bei 8 ITF-Turnieren im Einzel und 3 ITF-Turnieren im Doppel. Ferner wurde sie 2007 und 2009 deutsche Meisterin
Im Achtelfinale 23. Januar 2011 der Australian Open 2011 bezwang sie die ehemalige Siegerin dieses Grand-Slam-Turniers, Maria Scharapowa.

BILD: Frau Petkovic, was haben Sie gedacht, als Sie die BILD-Schlagzeile "Unsere Petko" gelesen haben?

Petkovic: „Ich habe mich echt gefreut. Ich glaube wirklich, dass es bei einigen Leuten ein Problem ist, dass ich als Deutsche Petkovic heiße. Ich kann es nur immer wieder sagen, dass ich mich deutsch fühle, dass ich besser Deutsch spreche als Serbisch. Das meine Strukturen alle deutsch sind und das ich hier aufgewachsen bin. Als ich ,Unsere Petko' gelesen habe, hatte ich das Gefühl, die nehmen mich an und auf.

Andrea Petkovic (Serbian: Андреа Петковић, Andrea Petković; born 9 September 1987 in Tuzla, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a German professional tennis player of Bosnian origin, and the German No. 1. She lives in Griesheim near Darmstadt in Germany.

Petkovic reached her career-high singles ranking of World No. 32 on 18 October 2010. Petkovic's highest doubles ranking was World No. 68 on 28 September 2009. She has won 1 WTA title, 8 ITF singles titles and 3 ITF doubles titles. Petkovic became the German national champion in 2007 and 2009.

Petkovic is the 30th seed at the 2011 Australian Open. She has advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Jill Craybas, Anne Keothavong, an injured #3 seed Venus Williams, and #14 seed Maria Sharapova. She faces #9 seed Li Na for a spot in the semifinals.

Petkovic: "I was pleased genuine. I truly believe that there is a problem for some people that my name as German Petkovic. I can only say again that I am German, I speak German better than Serbian. Mit zwölf gründete Phil Fill mit dem bürgerlichen Namen Philipp Rittmannsperger (31) seine erste Band. Musikrichtung: Punk. Rittmannsperger übernahm den Gesang -- „das war eher Gebrüll. Die anderen konnten aber auch nur zwei, drei Akkorde."

Nach etlichen Schlagzeugerwechseln wurde er mit 16 endgültig Drummer.

Nach dem Zivildienst (2002) nahm er im gleichen Jahr das Studium an der Mannheimer Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst auf. Hauptfach: Schlagzeug. Dazu kamen Vibrafon, Percussion und Klavier. „Wir sollten nicht nur Bumm, Bumm, sondern auch Töne und Musik lernen." Sagt er und grinst.

Als Vorbilder nennt er Johnny Guitar Watson, Johnny Hartman, The Roots und Jimi Hendrix. In verschiedenen Projekten war der Heiner schon aktiv: Beatclub 21, Flaming Four, Woody und Flowin' Immo sind nur einige Stationen. Eigene Songs schreibt er schon lange. 2008 brachte er sein erstes Album „Try the Enduro" heraus. Musikrichtung: Elektro-Funk.
