i saw whatr happened the buick backed off the accelerator ahlfway thru because he thought he won then the saturn passed it!aint tno way in hell a 3.8 will lose to a 4 cyl!!

Well the guy driving the buick is my friend and he lost we ran the cars 5-6 times and that was the outcome every time. My friend loves his buick way too much to let it lose to a 4 cyl. He knows his car is slower then mine and I have this video to rub it in his face for years to come.

Well, if you had gotten a better Buick, perhaps with a 3.8, you might have stood a chance. The Saturn in this video has 130k and the Buick 255k. 3.1's are a glorified 2.8's. Oh, and every car these days has a "multiport".

yeah somewhere around there. I've heard different things, but it could be 100. I've heard 110 and 105 also.

Crank Horse Power on a Dohc 1.9L saturn motor is 125. To the wheels is around 110.

yeah my friend had a 3.8L Buick Riviera and I have beaten him several times with my Saturn SL2

i have a 98 sl2 1.9l twin cam and this car can beat a v6 firebird and mustang... some little mods added to it but none the less people tend to think saturn sucks but they are all wrong turbo the saturn and it will run with some faster cars and give them a run for their money lol.

My dad has a stock 96 Buick regal, lets say somewhere around 200hp. I have a stock 96 saturn SL1 w/100hp,and a stock 95 saturn SL2 w/124. My 96 would get smoked, but for sure the 95 beat my dads regal when I raced him. Two big reasons. 1.The saturn is way lighter. 2.The saturn actually shifts when it supposed to. When I gun my dads Buick I notice it shifts 1000-1500 rpms before redline(at 4500, instead of 5500-6000). That should explain it for everyone.

my stock 96 saturn sl2 hits 60 pretty fast and makes my previous stock 04 kia spectra seem slow
