losing Merle Watson is a great tragedy that is even greater then the loss of Hendrix or Cobain. It is heartbreaking the loss of so many great rockers to drugs and booze . But to lose Merle to a workplace death (farming) it is awful more like Buddy Holly or Stevie Ray Vaughm

You should look up the definition of copy before you use that word again

@MrMikenotts01 Doc and Merle were and are arguably some of the greatest guitar pickers of all time. Both are influenced by Mississippi John Hurt. Merle cites him (John Hurt) as his main influence. so to call this "white bread copy" is a complete and utter disgrace. And very offensive.

Innocent and open, but not Naive. Experienced but not jaded. Simple but only because he realizes that many things do not equal happiness. Self sufficient even through severe handicaps. Loves the Lord even through great turmoil.
This is what America was made of and the only thing that will bring us back to greatness. The 2 people I look up to most in life are Doc Watson and Zig Ziglar. Both amazing men of faith and character. I can't say enough good things about them.
