My first Simply Music piano lesson students, playing all the songs from Foundation Level 1. Every student could play all these songs plus variations from memory by the time they completed Level 1, which took them between 2.5 and 4 months. Way beyond the results I got teaching traditional piano methods for 7 years!

1. Dreams Come True -- Performed by Johann, age 8
2. Night Storm -- Performed by Katerina, age 7
3. Jackson Blues -- Performed by Claire, age 8
4. Honey Dew -- Performed by Tessa, age 6
5. Chester Chills Out -- Performed by Ronald, age 39
6. Ode to Joy -- Performed by Shannon, age 6
7. Bishop Street Blues -- Performed by Sarah, age 10
8. Amazing Grace -- Performed by Molly, age 6
9. Fur Elise -- Performed by Sophia, age 5
10. Alma Mater Blues -- Performed by Ethan, age 8

  • I took simply music a long time. I miss it. I no longer remember how to play these songs but I loved playing them... I think its funny how the kids start playing before the teacher even finishes saying the name of the song..

  • @SoldierOfTheMCRmy100 They get right into it sometimes! If you'd like to consider taking lessons again and no longer are able to study with a teacher in person, some Simply Music teachers such as myself offer lessons through live online videoconference. Something to think about...

  • why is there a old man in there?

  • @TheYolgsCast He's not that old :) Lots of adults take piano lessons, especially with the Simply Music method. The method makes it possible for anyone to learn who is willing to follow it, so it's never too late to start.

  • I'm currently a simply music student off to lessons

  • @NINJApandaLOVE Pedal is cool. We do pedal training with our students, indeed.

  • Lol 2:52 "u kno wat wuld b cool? The pedal!"

  • @VegaManX7 The real question is how the method gets to longer songs and why. See my earlier comments below about long and short songs. We could teach longer songs right away, but it wouldn't serve your long-term progress as well as building longer songs bit by bit over time through shorter projects. There's also no way to generalize an answer since students are different. One person might learn two or three times as slowly or quickly as another student.
