@KingDamian1970 He isn't even a top 40 heavyweight anymore... this fight didn't even affect his record because it was supposed to be a boxing match that couldn't get sanctioned. They changed to MMA rules but agreed to stand up. Sylvia was just overconfident in his mediocre k-1 skills, should have done what Kimbo did & took him down for the easy win.

Boxing is no different than College Wrestling, BJJ competition, Kickboxing, and what not. but so some strange reason, Boxing is the onlt one dimensional sport out of all of them which is stressed by MMA fans like yourself. And Fedor threw six punches to knock down Sylvia. Now you are making things up. That is how desperate you are about Mercer knocking out Sylvia. Fact is the man is 50. Impressive.

@taekwon3000 no I'm just sick of boxing fans being crybabies because a better sport and a more pure fighting science has come along in MMA. Sylvia was one of the worst champions ever in the sport and MMA fans around the world couldn't stand that guy. Why don't you give the credit for the overhand right that ended the fight right of the bat to Randy Couture or Fedor Emelianenko before you go saying Ray Mercer did something great.

@taekwon3000 I don't think it's impressive, I think it's funny and sad. Ray Mercer got hit with a glancing blow and quit before any damage was done at all. It wouldn't be so bad if he would have at least tried to fight. But all he did was throw a few jabs out their and got hit once with a kick that glanced off of his arm and tapped him on the head then just gave up. Pretty sad.

@joenobody13 Sylvia was UFC Champ not too long before that. He was top ten during this time. He gave Big Nog a tough fight not too long prior either. Mercer was 50 years old, hasn't been top ten in Boxing since his 30s. And this was his professional debut in another combat sport. Dont see the denial here. You just being a douche.

@SkywarpMach7 Sylvia would had KO Mercer? Is ur mom n dad brother n sister? Sylvia being fat had shit to do with it. Mercer was a Gold Medal Olympian in Boxing and a former HW Champ. He stood toe to toe with Lennox Lewis and gave him the hardest fight of his career. Yet Sylvia got drop by Couture. What the fuck is ur problem? This is why inbreeding is illegal.
