My father was there that day!! R'ham is my home town too. Tks for posting this benman. Love all of your old home movies. I remember my daddy taking our '68 Corvair and later our '73 LTD sedan around the track with the whole family on board. They opened it up for people run their cars/trucks back in the old days. It was so cool. Remember riding under that tunnel to the infield many times.
In the 80's in Bennettsville , South Carolina the school parking lot was full of old Muscle Cars. I had a 1969 Chevelle with a built 327 with dual exhaust and glass packs , nice and loud with big cam ! Miss those days.
