  • @dcairol why drummers insist on doing that?

to me, it's a form of trolling bandmates. "feels too easy? try to keep up with this, suckers"

  • Nice Falsetto Mike, haha.

  • This mix would've been perfect if they had turned up John Myung a little bit.

  • a single star behind me ,

    :DD

  • nobody has commented Portnoy's tempo distortion of the song

  • @scarred2112 I think he meant bass in general, not the chapman stick lol.. He's one of my favorite bassists for sure, and he rarely misses a note..

  • @AgroDTOP It was a Mastering Error - at the time of release Atlantic took back the faulty discs (which are find in Dolby 2.0) and replaced them with corrected versions. If you've recently purchased it I'm not sure how you could have gotten one (unless the store never returned their stock of old discs) but I'd contact Atlantic anyway to see about getting a corrected disc.

  • @Smoothbassistthatsme Myung wrote a nice line on the Stick for this, but in no way is he "King" of the instrument. Besides only using it on 2 DT songs (NM and parts of TAMP) and a few songs on the first "Gordian Knot" recording, he hasn't recorded with it. Besides it's *inventor* Emmett Chapman there are people such as Greg Howard & Sean Malone among others where the Stick is their primary instrument, and far better than JM's playing. This can even be played tapped on a 5 or 6-string Bass..
