  • @Lightwolf333 sorry about that I forgot about the articulated driver they might use the #3985 but #844 might also come out here if we get enough votes. Steam Shop has a DD40X but they are too big.

  • @geomodelrailroader I have seen the 3985 in La Grande, Oregon in 1994 when she was going to Portland for something. I have seen some pics of her as well at the Boise Depot on display when she came though in 2006. Sorry bud I am not trying to start an argument here. ^_^

  • @Lightwolf333 yes but Challengers never come out here UP tried it once and they had to send #3985 back to the shop all the curves on the OSL are sharp only #844 can make the turns remember the derailment in Kansas City Steam shop does not want to send a Challenger into an area where the radius is 18% sharp curves cause derailment Challengers are made for curves of 32 to 48 %

  • @geomodelrailroader The 844 used to roll though Idaho 3 times weekly pulling the Portland rose back in the 40's and 50's. My mom used to ride it back in the day. I don't think anyone knows for sure if it going to be the 844. I think the UP is still in the process of deciding if it's going either the 844 or 3985. Seeing that the 3985 is now out of the shops... lol

  • @Lightwolf333 lol keep them coming we need enough votes or #844 goes to places she has been more then 100 times she has only come to Idaho twice the other times was back in the 40s we need #844 because the OSL is not the same without her

  • @geomodelrailroader Already did and posted on my Facebook account as well. I will keep on doing so!

  • @Lightwolf333 LOL and if you want #844 to carry the cars named after the OSL towns get the others to vote. by going to the UP excursion website
