My convicts just laid eggs two days ago! Those guys waste no time. I just had the Cichlid setup for about 2 weeks now.

depends on tank size, the bigger the better

Convicts breed like rabbits and when they have babies are the most relentless attackers I have seen. They are not worth keeping in a community tank.

convicts will pair and mate anywhere they are ridiculous they have so much character but the breeding is annoying cuz they get really protective and push everything to the other side of the tank

my convicts and jewels don't get along. so I keep them in seperate tanks.
also, my jewels have grown like twice as big as the convicts. they're so big, it's not even funny.
you watch them fishes of yours! that jewel can kick some convict ass whenever he wants to. he just need to get angry enough! ;)

the convicts were protecting their fry so i had to separate them. if u look at the filter u see the leftovers of a casualty when i got home from work
