A lesson with tablature on how to play a Spanish Classical Piece. (I used Power Tab Editor 1.7 to tab out this piece.)
The playback mode of this tab is about one third the speed of the original piece. Here a quarter note = 40 on all 4 lines compared to the actual tempo of quarter note = 128 on the first 2 lines and then down to quarter note = 108 on the last 2 lines. The range of adjustment with the software is from 40 - 300 BPM.

  • I've gotta say, the way you implemented the tab at a slower pace makes this sort of lesson much much easier than pretty much any Youtube lesson I've ever seen. I really appreciate it and will def check out other lessons you offer! :)

  • @MrLayneCornell Hey I appreciate it, I'm glad you like my video. Overall this piece is in the key of D minor which is: D,E,F,G,A,Bb,C,D. But I actually use 2 different scales in the song.

On the opening riff I use the Phrygian-Dominant mode (Which can also be thought of as the 5th mode of the Harmonic-Minor Scale) in A which is: A,Bb,C#,D,E,F,G,A.

On the 2nd part of the song I use the Natural Minor scale in G which is: G,A,Bb,C,D,Eb,F,G.
